Derek appears as a member of the 1960's group the Drifters in Beautiful The Carole King Musical.
Hit Broadway transfer Beautiful originally opened in the West End on February 2015. It was in the 2017 cast that saw Derek make his West End debut, playing in the ensemble and as a member of the 1960's R&B group the Drifters. Carole King and Gerry Goffin proved pivotal in launching the commercial career of the group and many other artists of the era.
